The Ellen White Legacy - Remembering The Past
About Rita Hoshino
 Ellen White Portrayer

Rita Hoshino is  a fourth-generation Seventh-day Adventist. She makes her home in Angwin, California, just miles from Ellen White's final residence at Elmshaven in Deer Park. Ms. Hoshino began portraying a young Ellen as a teenager for her father's place of employment, Pacific Press Publishing Association. As a college student at Pacific Union College, she portrayed Ellen as part of the PUC Children's Church Ministries. More recently, her portrayal of this important founding member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has taken her across the nation bringing "Ellen" back to life for such events as the St. Helena Hospital's 125th Anniversary Celebration, The Hiram Edson Farm Dedication, Loma Linda University Hospital's Cenntenial Anniversary, and Fletcher Academy's 100th Anniversary. She's also a favorite at Pathfinder Camporees, church services, and camp meetings. Rita's appearance at the 2010 General Conference gathering in Atlanta, Georgia, opened many doors for her ministry of portraying Ellen G. White. She has been invited to represent Adventist Heritage Ministry and has received a nod from The E.G.White Estate.

Rita holds a B.S. in Art from Pacific Union College where she served for 23 years in Student Services and held the title of Assistant Dean of Students. She has been involved in the Christian music industry as a promoter and booking agent and has toured with the "Women of Faith" conference. She is a graphic artist and calligrapher, and most recently was the Alumni/Development Director for Mountain View Academy.
